Richard Wu

Richard is an In-Network Scholar for the JURIST Digital Scholars Program. He graduated from the University of Waterloo with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science and Statistics with honors.

Richard is currently an AI Researcher at Two Sigma, applying state-of-the-art deep learning and AI research to the financial markets. He has published ML and systems research from his undergraduate, and continues to dive into the latest advances in modern machine learning, specifically with an eye for reinforcement learning. He is optimistic about applying modern machine learning techniques to understand and discover the hundreds of years of data we have on our legal systems.

His favorite (socially-distant) pastimes include playing tennis, hiking, and exploring local restaurants (through UberEats, of course).
